How to Install and Set Up the Face2Face Plugin on your WordPress website
Welcome to Face2Face! Follow these easy steps to install and set up the plugin so you can use it directly from your WordPress dashboard.
Note: THIS is an ALTERNATIVE to injecting the code in the header (<head> tag) manually
Step 1: Install the Face2Face Plugin
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard
Go to your website's login page (usually yourwebsite.com/wp-admin) and log in with your credentials.
- Go to the Plugins Section
On the left-hand menu, click Plugins, then select Add New.
- Upload the Plugin
- Here is the plugin:
- Click the Upload Plugin button at the top.
- Click Choose File, select the plugin file from your computer, and then click Install Now.
- Activate the Plugin
Once installed, click Activate Plugin.
Step 2: Set Up the Plugin
- Find Face2Face Settings
- In the admin dashboard, look for the Face2Face link in the sidebar.
- Hover over it, and click Settings.
- Enter Your Organization ID (org_id)
- You should have received your org_id in the onboarding document we sent.
- Copy it from the document and paste it into the field labeled Organization ID.
- Save the Settings
- After entering your org_id, click the Save button.
- You’ll see a confirmation message that the settings were saved successfully.
Step 3: Access and Use the Face2Face Dashboard
- Go to the Face2Face Dashboard (Optional)
- If you prefer to use the dashboard from within WordPress, hover over Face2Face in the sidebar and click Face2Face (listed twice—this is intentional!).
- This will open the Face2Face dashboard directly within your WordPress admin panel.
- Access Face2Face via the Web App
- You can also visit app.face2face.io to access the same features from any browser.
- Simply log in with your credentials, and you'll have access to all your tools and settings.
- Start Using Face2Face
- The Face2Face dashboard will open directly within your WordPress admin panel.
- You can now start talking to your visitors, manage your settings, and use all the features without leaving your site!

- Double-check your org_id in the Settings section.
- Make sure the plugin is activated (go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and verify it's active).
